SIMPLE AQUAFABA MERINGUES

There's nothing quite like the delicate, airy texture of homemade meringue, and with our Faba powdered aquafaba, you can achieve perfect results without using eggs.
This simple and delightful recipe will fill your kitchen with a sweet aroma as the meringues bake to crisp perfection. Whether you're topping them with sprinkles, crushed candy, or powdered fruit, these meringues are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Faba aquafaba powder

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 3/4 cup granulated white sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/16 tsp cream of tartar (optional)

 

Instructions

  • Combine the aquafaba powder with water (and optional cream of tartar)  in a stand mixer of in a bowl.

  • Whisk the aquafaba to stiff peaks using the whip or an electric beater on high speed, approximately 5-10 minutes.

  • Slowly add the sugar one tablespoon at a time.

  • Add the vanilla extract.

  • Whisk until all ingredients are incorporated and stiff peaks appear.

  • Scoop the meringue into a piping bag (or a plastic bag with the corner trimmed).

  • Pipe the meringue into rounds or whatever desired shape on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  • Top with sprinkles, crushed candy, powdered fruit or desired topping.

  • Place baking sheets in a 200F oven (or lowest setting possible) and bake for 1.5 - 2 hours or until meringues are completely dry.
